One more breakfast and we were left with spare time to kill before it was time to depart to the airport, ending our short but satisfying excursion to this beachside paradise. Strolled around we did in the hotel’s compound, wandering places and exploring niches. It was then that we realized how big Aleenta Phuket was, its grounds including other villas with their own gardens.

We did not get to try the spa in Aleenta Phuket but we did explore its interior before it was opened for business. The décor was definitely Thai in flavor with modern amenitites scattered around, everything screaming comfortable and plush at your face. In one room we even saw jellyfishes floating around lazily within a cylindrical tank, their motions random but hypnotizing. Maybe that was to help spa goers relax?

Our loiter brought us to the higher levels, which would have been an impressive view over the beach if not for the obstructions that were trees and hotel buildings. That accessible level was not the highest though, as we spied lofts and villas at higher elevation and I could imagine how beautiful it was to watch the sea while lounging in the comforts of their room since they were high enough to look over the top of the obstructions.

Ending our little roam, we just enjoyed the cool weather (it was cloudy instead of sunny that day) and took another circuit around the hotel grounds to ingrain the impression better into our minds. Not that we needed that anyway since we were fully impressed with the service we received and the luxurious villa, though not the top notch within its list, was plenty satisfying to us. When it was time to go, we left with a heavy heart. After Lone Pine Hotel this becomes the second luxurious hotel we visited and we would not forget the experience anytime soon.
